Auction Radar: August 4, 2026 — Georgia and Texas Monthly Sales
TL;DR
- →We're launching Upcoming Auctions coverage with 9 verified counties across Georgia and Texas.
- →Both states hold sales on the first Tuesday of the month by statute — the next date is August 4, 2026.
- →This is a pilot: coverage is expanding, and every date is sourced directly from official county pages, not scraped or guessed.
What's new this week
We just launched the Upcoming Auctions feature — a permanent, sourced page for every county we track, showing the next statutory sale date alongside a direct link to the county's own official listing.
This first edition covers 9 counties: Fulton, Gwinnett, DeKalb, and Chatham in Georgia, and Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, Bexar, and Travis in Texas. All 9 share the same next date — August 4, 2026 — because both states hold tax sales on the first Tuesday of the month by statute (Georgia: O.C.G.A. 48-4; Texas: Tax Code Ch. 34, Sec. 34.01), and we verified that rule directly against each county's own government page, not a secondary source.
An important distinction
The date we show is the next date a sale would legally occur — not a confirmed list of properties up for sale that day. Georgia counties genuinely hold a sale most first Tuesdays. Texas counties hold sales on the first Tuesday when they have properties posted, which our own data shows is typically June through November — not guaranteed every month. Every auction page on our site says this explicitly and links to the county's live listing, because that's the only place the real answer lives.
What's next
We're expanding coverage county by county, holding every new entry to the same standard: a primary source we checked ourselves, not an inference. If you want alerts as new states and counties go live, subscribe below — we'll only email when there's something real to report.
