Which states have the most active tax-sale inventory right now?
TaxLienSimple tracks 299,674 parcels across 825 counties in 48 states with confirmed live inventory, 344 of which have a known upcoming auction date. This report ranks states by tracked parcel volume, drawn directly from our own dataset -- not a third-party estimate.
Methodology
Figures are computed at request time from TaxLienSimple's tls_county_aggregates data (Supabase, materialized view, refreshed on ingestion), then cached for one hour. "Parcels" counts every tracked property record per county across liens, deeds, and foreclosures; a parcel may appear in more than one auction cycle over time. This report reflects what TaxLienSimple has ingested and verified as of the date above -- it is not a claim about total statewide tax-sale volume, which is typically larger than any single tracker's coverage. Always confirm counts and sale details with the administering county before acting.
