Alaska law (Alaska Stat. Title 29, Ch. 45 (29.45.290-.500)): Alaska has no counties -- boroughs and home-rule municipalities levy and collect. A borough forecloses, holds the property at least 1 year for redemption (AS 29.45.400), then sells the tax-foreclosed property (deed). No lien certificates.
